Things I'm makingArt, objects and digital pieces, shown from the first sketch to the finished thing.
One piece is purely digital and lives only here. The objects come with 3D models you can turn and explore, and every project fills up with photos and video as it gets made.

Coalition Alphabet Collider
Type a word. The alphabet swarms, moving only at 0, 45 and 90 degrees, then collides into your word.

Purple Chimp
Four sheets of the same translucent purple acrylic. Head-on it reads as a flat print; step to the side and it comes apart.

Sand Sphere
One shell, one rod and one turn cut a hemisphere of hard-packed sand out of the beach, left beside its own hole for the tide to take back.

X-wing Bench
A three-seater made from two identical bent ply pressings, one flipped to become the shelf. From the front, the legs read as a clean X.

Therapy (ball)
The red spiked therapy ball, traced spike by spike from a reference photo into a clean outline drawing, ready to colour and shade.

Therapy (scan)
A charcoal study of an axial brain scan: a pale shape floating in a dark field, worked by lifting light out of a toned sheet.

All updates →Four sheets, one chimp
The piece is hung. Here is how four identical sheets of purple acrylic make four tones, and why the eye highlights go right through.

Arm height: 175, 190 or 205 mm?
The same pressing gives three arm heights depending on where the legs cross. Adults want 200 to 250 mm, primary-age children 150 to 200.

Why the lever sits on the rim
A half turn mirrors the shell through the beach, so a handle anywhere up the dome would end up buried. The rim is the only place that finishes at the surface.
